Care instructions for cast iron
We offer our cast iron products in a number of different shades and they all react differently to weather. As a rule, it takes 1-2 seasons before you see any effect on the surface treatment. If you do not want surface rust to occur, it can be good to review your product after 6-12 months to see if any surface rust is about to occur. Then you can treat the affected area with rust protection, linseed oil or linseed oil paint (available from well-stocked paint dealers). Spray paint for iron or steel can also be used.
